What is madeiran flag?

The flag of Madeira is a rectangular field with three vertical stripes of equal width, with the blue stripe in the center and the green and yellow stripes on either side. In the center of the blue stripe is the coat of arms of Madeira, which consists of a shield with a silver background and a blue and white wavy border. The shield shows a blue eagle with open wings holding a red scroll with the word "desperta" (Portuguese for "wake up") in gold lettering. Above the shield is a gold crown with five visible arches and eight visible pearls. According to tradition, the blue stripe represents the ocean, the green stripe represents the vegetation and the yellow stripe represents the sun. The flag was adopted on July 1, 1978, and is flown throughout the Autonomous Region of Madeira, which is an archipelago located off the coast of Portugal.
